What to do if Your 3141 CPM Updater Software Does Not Start the Update Process

In some cases, after downloading/installing the latest firmware update files to your PC, connecting the 3141 power monitor display to the PC using a USB cable, then launching the CPM Updater, the software appears to immediately close with no update taking place. This is indicative that the PC driver for the 3141 power monitor display needs to be updated as well. 

To do so:

1. Click on the Windows Start Menu and type “Device Manager”.
2. Once inside the Device Manager, navigate to the "Ports (COM & LPT)" option and click on the arrow to expand the port options, looking for “Arduino Due Programming Port”. Double-click on it.
3. Go to the “Driver” tab.
4. Select “Update Driver”.
5. Select “Browse my computer for driver software”.
6. Click on “Browse” to navigate and select C:\Program Files (x86)\Bird CPM Updater\drivers. Click “OK” to continue.
7. Finish the driver update process and run the 3141 CPM Updater software again.
