How do I get my 4421A-10-xx-x upgraded to a more advanced model?

Any of the following models of 4421A are eligible for upgrade:

• 4421A-10-00-0 - single sensor capable, no remote communications interface
• 4421A-20-00-0 - two sensor capable, no remote communications interface
• 4421A-10-11-0 - single sensor capable, RS-232 & LAN communications enabled

The 4421A-20-11-0 (two sensor capable, RS-232 & LAN enabled) is the highest level you can upgrade any of these models to.

The process to follow to upgrade your 4421A meter is as follows:

1. Navigate to the Bird Service & Repair RMA Pricing landing page. 
2. Fill in your company information and contact details. 
3. Fill in your item details:
   • Select "Repair & Calibration" as the reason for return.
   • Provide your meter serial number.
   • Set the 'Certification Type' to "Standard Cal". 
   • In the field for reason for repair, indicate the following: "Upgrade from current model 4421A-xx-xx-x to 4421A-yy-yy-y." (Note that the x's in this string are the numbers that refer to the model you have, and the y's refer to the model number you need.)

Note: The 4421A-12-11-1 has different hardware and is not eligible for upgrade.
