How do I add a web browser to the Bird 5000-NG digital RF power meter display?

You may have noticed that the default configuration for the 5000-NG display only includes the JacsBrowser made available via the Google Search tool on the device home screen:

This helps to reinforce the idea that the device is a measurement tool and allows company teams and individuals to install only apps and tools as they see fit to achieve their primary goals. This also helps to establish a baseline level of security since there are so may ways the internet can be used to deliver viruses and malware.

However, there is no reason you cannot enjoy the benefits of your favorite browser if you are the primary owner of the device and choose to do so. You should be able to access the Google Play store by entering "Play" into the search bar, with the Play Store likely being the first option provided in the list:

You will need to have a Google account and provide your sign-in credentials to get set up.
