The Fixture Circuit Simulation option requires activation on the VNA with a purchased license key that enables the feature in the software. Once enabled, you will have access to the follwing three features:
-
- Port reference impedance conversion - This tool is used in RF and microwave circuit design and analysis. It helps simulate circuit behavior, especially when circuits connect to different impedance settings. This tool converts circuit parameters to match different impedance settings, ensuring accurate simulation across various conditions.
- De-embedding – This is a tool in a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) that helps isolate the properties of the device being tested by removing the effects of the connecting cables, adapters, and other fixtures used during testing.
- Port matching - Port matching in a fixture simulator is about making sure that the connections between devices have the right electrical properties. It checks if the electrical characteristics at the ports of the device being tested match what's needed for optimal performance. If they don't match, the simulator adjusts them using specific circuits to improve how well the devices work together.
