Precautions when shipping oil-filled loads or attenuators

Before shipping an oil-cooled load or attenuator, replace the spring loaded vent plug with the solid shipping plug. The two plugs are linked together by a short length of bead chain. Ensure the solid shipping plug has an O-ring seal.

Bird does not recommend placing tape across the vent plug as it may contaminate the coolant.
