4304A slugs

I have a Bird 4304A with a 4304A-1 500 watt slug in it.  I want to measure up to 1.3 Ghz now.  Will I be able to remove the 4304A-1 slug and put in a Bird 25J slug?  Will it work properly?  Can I put in any other Bird slug and will it read power correctly?

    I've often wondered if the 4304 could be used with other slugs.
