SiteHawk APK Install Error: “Can’t Open File”

Issue

When attempting to install an APK from a USB flash drive, the SiteHawk may display “Can’t Open File.”

Cause

Android may block direct installation of APK files from external storage (USB devices).

Resolution

Install the APK from Internal Storage instead.

Steps

1. Insert the USB flash drive into the SiteHawk.

2. Open File Manager.

3. Navigate to the USB storage and copy the APK file.

4. Paste the APK into Internal Storage (for example: Internal Storage > Download).

5. Remove the USB flash drive from the SiteHawk.

6. Navigate to the new file location in Internal Storage.

7. Tap the APK file to install.

Result

The APK should install normally once launched from Internal Storage.
